As a beginner, you can find yourself completely lost when faced with the different eyelash references and the multitude of products and tools offered on the various websites specializing in the beauty of the eyes. Through this article I will help you see more clearly to make the right choices.
The importance of the choice of products when starting out
In most cases, during your training, your trainer should have provided you with a more or less complete and more or less qualitative "discovery" product kit. The latter should also have given you the contact details of various suppliers from which you can buy your equipment.
However, it happens that during certains trainings the students are not, or quite simply are poorly, guided in the choice of products.
Before presenting you the essential products to have in your kit when you are new to the installation of eyelash extensions, I will explain to you the importance of having the right equipment when starting out.
I often hear people say "when you start, there is a lot of waste, so you don't have to have high quality material". We must at all costs get this idea out of our minds because that it is completely the opposite! Indeed, when you are a beginner you experience some fairly basic difficulties, if you add poor quality material to these difficulties, you will add additional problems.
While an advanced technician is able to cope with quality problems of the equipment used, the beginner will find herself completely distraught and discouraged! It is therefore essential to start with quality material that is easy to work with to put all the chances in your favor when you start.
What are the essentials products to have in your kit when you're a beginner ?
- A good glue: in reality, there is no real good or bad glue when you order from well-known brands. We should rather speak of glue adapted or not adapted to your way of working. When you start, you tend to be slow - you should therefore provide an adhesive with medium drying speed (1 second is generally fine). In our range the glue which has a drying time of one second is the ultra bond adhesive.
- Quality eyelash extensions: for one by one it is necessary that the eyelashes are easy to detach from the tape and for the russian volume, it is necessary that the tape allows an easy and fast work on the adhesive tape in order to easily form ranges of eyelashes. Our best seller is the sophisticated 2.0 range which will allow you to work quickly and easily. You will find the sophisticated 2.0 eyelash extensions in one by one here and in russian volume here.
- A shampoo suitable for eyelash extensions: before each complete set and touch-up, it is essential to use a shampoo suitable for the extensions in order to prepare the area on which you will be working. The purpose of this shampoo is to remove any residue of makeup, sebum, etc., so that your eyelash extensions can adhere more easily to the natural eyelashes and have better retention over time. You can find our "LASH BATH" eyelash extension shampoo right here. The lash bath is carried out with a disposable lip brush to prevent the transmission of bacteria and to rinse it easily you can use a water squeeze bottle. You can also find a Youtube video on how to clean eyelashes step by step down below:
- Patches to isolate the lower lashes: if you've been following us for a while, you already know that we do not recommend the use of hydrogel patches to eliminate the risk of allergic reactions that can be caused by certain components of these patches. We recommend that you use microfoam tape instead.
- A good set of tweezers: an insulation tweezer and a tweezer to carry a fan/extension is essential to gain speed. For my part, my favorite ones are the curved insulation and the precision.

A good palette: to put and organise your lash strips. By good palette, we mean a palette of a certain weight to prevent it from lifting each time you come to take an eyelash extension. We have an acrylic palette that does the job completely and you can find it here.
-
Eyelash brushes
-
The Easy Fan: an essential to have especially when starting in russian volume. This product will help you keep a wide fan open because it will block your glue at the bottom of the bouquet to prevent it from rising and therefore closing the fan.
-
The transparent tape: is the tape to have in all circumstances because it will allow you to stretch your client's eyelid vertically or horizontally to make it easier to isolate their eyelashes or to visualize the base of the eyelashes when your client's eyelid is drooping. You can find it here.
-
The training head with stages of eyelashes: ultra realistic, it will allow you to practice and take your marks to be more comfortable during the realization of a set on a real model. Available here.
Here we are, we have seen together the essentials to have when starting out and I hope that this has enabled you to see more clearly. If you still have questions to which I have not yet answered, I invite you to write them in comments down below
